Limerick Sport Eagles beat Portlaoise Panthers 80-78 in a play-off match on March 23. The Panthers appealed on the grounds that the last free throws were whistled after the end of the clock.

The National League Appeals Committee ruled that the free throws had been correctly awarded, but that the referees and the match commissioner had made an error. The last 0.3 seconds of the match will be replayed, "to guarantee the integrity of the competitions," says the NLC.
