Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema posted a photo of his bloodied feet on Instagram. The image shows his feet with suction cups placed on the back.
Benzema says an opponent "stepped on his foot" after 10 minutes of play. He scored a goal in the 31st minute of the match against Rayo Vallecano. The technique is called "cupping" and is not recognized by the WHO as being effective in reducing muscle fatigue and pain in the short term.
