Frenchwoman Julia Simon won the pursuit of the Biathlon World Championships in Nove Mesto on Sunday. It was her third title in the Czech Republic, ahead of Italian Lisa Vittozzi and Frenchwoman Justine Braisaz-Bouchet.

With this fifth world gold medal, Simon, 27, joins his elder Marie Dorin-Humbert in the number of planetary titles. The tricolor won the mixed relay and the sprint at these Worlds after the mixed sprint.
