Boris Becker was sentenced to two and a half years in prison in April 2022 for several offences in his bankruptcy proceedings. The three-time Wimbledon winner now lives with his partner Lilian de Carvalho Monteiro in Italy.

Becker now travels a little more than 600 kilometres from his birthplace of Leimen in Baden-Württemberg. The German tennis icon sees himself "on the right track" after private insolvency, he said in a lecture in Hamburg on Wednesday.
