Nissim Kivithi was considered the soundtrack of Israeli sports in the 70s to the 90s. He broadcast the massacre of the athletes in Munich in 1970, Eli Ohana's historic goal against Australia and other sad and happy moments that were engraved in the hearts of the public in the Holy Land.

In 1952, he was sent on behalf of the BBC to cover the Helsinki Olympics, which was the first in which Israel participated. In 1953 he broadcast the coronation ceremony of Queen Elizabeth II. He also broadcast the 1986 and 1990 World Cups.
