Steffen Baumgart is the new coach of Hamburger SV. The 52-year-old signed a contract with an undisclosed term.
He will be introduced at a press conference at 2 p.m. and will lead training for the first time at 4 p.M. The former Cologne coach is expected to lead the recently floundering promotion candidate back into the Bundesliga after a six-year absence. Merlin Polzin, Sven Höh and Loic Fave will support the former Bundesliga striker as assistant coaches.
