The Frenchman from Jumbo-Visma is the first yellow jersey of the Critérium du Dauphiné. The Varois won in front of the Italian Matteo Trentin (UAE) and the Belgian Rune Herregodts (Intermarché-Wanty) Laporte also takes the yellow jersey, as in Paris-Nice 2023.
It is also his third success this season in just nine days of racing (after Ghent-Wevelgem and Through Flanders)
