Belgian cyclist Lars Daniels stopped a horse that was galloping alongside the peloton while racing. The horse was equipped with a saddle but without a rider.

The 23-year-old Belgian rider slowed down then pedaled alongside the horse. He then grabbed it by the bridle and finished his race with the peloton. This is not the first time that a horse has disrupted a cycle race. A similar situation notably occurred during the 1997 Tour de France in Tarn, where the horse jumped the barrier of his enclosure.
