Alpecin-Deceuninck won the first two places in Roubaix for the second year in a row. The Belgian team was still in the second division last year.

Mathieu van der Poel (MVDP) has extended his contract until 2029. The 2023 world champion was well spotted by certain more upscale teams like Patrick Lefevere's Quick-Step. He only dreamed of shining in cyclo-cross and signed with a team created five years earlier for this discipline.
