Colombian cyclist Rigoberto Uran will retire at the end of the season. The 37-year-old came 2nd at the Tour of Italy in 2013 and 2014.

He also won the silver medal at the 2012 London Olympics. His father was killed by far-right paramilitaries in 2001, when he was just 16-years-old. He is one of the most successful cyclists in the history of the sport, with more than 1,000 stage wins to his name.
