Lance Armstrong underwent intense therapy after his doping confession. The American rider revealed in a podcast that he needed a “heavy” therapeutic retreat to deal with “post-traumatic stress” Armstrong was stripped of his seven Tour de France titles in 2012 for doping.

The former US Postal rider retired from cycling permanently in January 2011, a year before the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) managed to prove his doping enterprise. The International Cycling Union banned him from cycling for life.
