Franck Bonnamour was suspended by the UCI on February 5. The French runner was dismissed by his Decathlon-AG2R team on Monday.

He spoke for the first time on social networks about his suspension this Tuesday. The UCI's decision is based on checks carried out before his arrival in the team on January 1, 2023. The checks incriminated relate to a period between 2016 and 2022, according to the Decathlete's team. “With the help of my lawyers and scientists, we are working on my defense,” he wrote.
