Dani Alves was sentenced to four and a half years in prison for the rape of a young woman on December 31, 2022 at Sutton, a nightclub in Barcelona. The Barcelona Court of Appeal is due to deliver its decision this Tuesday during a morning hearing from 9 a.m.
Alves and his lawyer are demanding acquittal, arguing that the sexual relations with the young woman were consensual. For its part, the prosecution also appealed and requested a heavier sentence than that required at first instance against the former footballer.
