Former American football star OJ Simpson died on April 11 at the age of 76. He was accused of murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ronald Goldman.

Simpson was acquitted in 1995 after 133 days of trial in front of more than 200 million viewers. The case was one of the most fascinating legal cases of the 20th century in the U.S. and sparked racial tensions in the country. The trial was broadcast live on American television live from helicopters for nearly three hours. The verdict was returned after 3 hours of deliberation by a jury of seven men and six women. The jury was led by a popular former NFL player, Orenthal James Simpson, who played for the New York Giants and the New Jersey Giants. He is survived by his wife, Nicole Brown, and their two children, J.C. and J.A., as well as his daughter, Arnelle, who was born in 1992, and a son, Ardie, born in 1994.
