DFB Vice President Hermann Winkler caused a scandal with derogatory statements about Volodymyr Zelensky. Winkler followed up with an apology via Facebook.
He renewed his remorse at the DFB conference in front of the regional and association presidents. DFB President Bernd Neuendorf has sharply condemned the statements of his deputy. However, the file is not yet closed. Other DFB committees could put the case on their agenda and thus put Winkler's position up for discussion again.
