Eintracht Frankfurt is planning the squad for the coming season and apparently has their sights set on a DFB star - but he is probably too expensive. Krisztián Lisztes, Nathaniel Brown and Aurèle Amenda have already been confirmed, and further new additions are expected to follow soon.

Can Uzun from 1. FC Nürnberg is a hot candidate and a successor to Sebastian Rode is apparently high on the priority list. Pascal Groß, who plays for Brighton & Hove Albion in the English Premier League, would be an immediate reinforcement for head coach Dino Toppmöller's team. The 32-year-old would also take on a leadership role and could also appear as a personality in the dressing room and leads the way. The package of transfer fee and salary is apparently not manageable for Eintrachter Frankfurt. The German national player is simply too expensive, as Sport Bild reports. If the 32- year-old actually makes it into the squads for the home European Championship, that wouldn't make him any cheaper.
