Doping test scares away 130 riders from amateur cycling race in Spain. On March 2 in the province of Alicante, 130 participants out of the 182 registered abandoned the race after an anti-doping test was announced.

To explain these abandonments, amateur cyclists explained that they had been victims of falls or punctures. “Doping control = punctures and retirements. This is not a mathematical formula but the pure truth. Now let's see if any action will be taken, because this really is a joke,” said Alvaro Marzá.
