Russian club Krasnodar fired coach Vladan Ivić on Wednesday. The club is only one point behind the leading Zenit.
Russia criticized the decision, saying it was a "reckless" move. Iviich led Maccabi Tel Aviv to two consecutive championships in 2018/19 and 2019/20. He returned to the club in the summer of 2022 but left in January for a big contract in the Russian league, where he finished sixth in the table last year.
