Malorie Blanc tore her cruciate ligament shortly before her planned World Cup debut. The 20-year-old will undergo surgery in Valais in the near future.
Blanc won gold in the Super-G and the team combination at the Junior World Ski Championships in France and also secured silver in the downhill. The young Swiss should have made her debut in the World Cup next weekend in Crans-Montana (February 16/17 Downhill, February 18 Super- G). Nothing will come of it for now.
