Eunice Barber, former heptathlon world champion, attacked on a train. A man dealt several blows to the French champion who had just asked her to speak less loudly.
The man, aged 43, was arrested when the train arrived at Gare du Nord before being placed in police custody, the same source added. Heptathlon in 1999 and the long distance in 2003, Barber was crowned in the heptathlete in 1999, and long-distance in 2003. The 49-year-old filed a complaint at the police station.
