Jordan Paul made an unexpected leap in his first playoffs with 17 points per game. He scored 30 points in the first round against Denver, 31 in the second round against Memphis, and also in the final series against Boston he was the big X factor.

Golden State claimed that it would not have won the championship without him, and as a reward signed him to what turned out to be one of the worst contracts in the league. Paul is indeed the perfect player for a team that is going to tank with the expectations that he will compete for the title.
