A 15-year-old German player has died after being hit in the head and throat by a French player. The incident took place during a youth tournament in Frankfurt, Germany.
The suspect is still in pre-trial detention, said Frankfurt police. An autopsy will be performed in the coming days, said a prosecutor's spokeswoman. The deceased teenager, who belonged to the German team JFC Berlin, had so far been kept alive so that he could donate his organs, said the prosecutor's office.
