Honduran striker Alberth Elis is out of a coma after suffering a head trauma. The 28-year-old was hit after 40 seconds of play against Guingamp last Saturday.
Elis was placed in a protective artificial coma during the night from Saturday to Sunday. The Girondins are currently 13th in the French Ligue 2 championship standings. The Honduran international striker (64 caps, 13 goals) has scored five goals since the start of the current season with Bordeaux.
