Edwin Van der Sar will step down as general manager of Ajax Amsterdam. The former Ajax goalkeeper joined the Lancers in 2012 first as marketing director and then general manager in 2016.
In seven years he has won three Dutch league titles (2019, 2021, 2022), two Cups ( 2019, 2021) and a national Super Cup (2019). The Dutch club tweeted: "You have embraced the role of general manager with the same vision that defined and punctuated your days as a player. We are eternally grateful"
