Jürgen Klinsmann has been sacked as coach of South Korea. The German had been in office since February 27, 2023.
South Korea lost 2-0 to Jordan in the semi-finals of the Asian Cup. The KFA President Chung Mong-gyu made the announcement at a press conference. The 59-year-old previously coached the German (2004-2006) and United States (2011-2016) teams. Aged 59, the globe-trotting German won the World Cup in 1990 and the Euro 6 years later.
