Ney Alves, the brother of the former footballer, formally denied the rumors which circulated on social networks on Saturday. The Brazilian Dani Alves has been in detention since January 2023, sentenced to four and a half years in prison for the rape of a young woman in a nightclub, which occurred in December 2022 in Barcelona.
Barcelona prison has had an anti-suicide protocol in place for several weeks due to the mental state of the 40-year-old man, who has been very affected since his sentence.
