Hapoel Jerusalem offers Oded Ketch a three-year contract for $2.5 million. Ketch ends his contract with Maccabi Tel Aviv this summer.
The coach would prefer to coach in the Euroleague, but "it is hard to believe that a team in Europe can appoint an Israeli coach at this time" Ketch (49) was forced to retire prematurely in the summer of 2004, after failing to recover from a serious knee injury. He began his coaching career at Hapoel Galil Alyon, continued for a first term at Maccabe Tel Aviv, returned to Gilboa/Galil.
