Formula 1 will apply a new rule for the first time at next weekend's Monaco Grand Prix. Drivers will have to reduce their speed during the safety car intervals in zones that are considered extremely dangerous.

The FIA's head of Formula 1 electronics, Olivier Hulot, also commented ahead of the race on the Côte d'Azur. "For the FIA, safety comes first, and if there is a danger on the track or marshals, we must definitely minimize the risks," he said.
