Mohamed Haouas was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence in Montpellier on Friday. The 29-year-old is a member of the France XV and the MHR.
He is a gifted rugby player, but his career has been tainted by legal setbacks. "I have done stupid things in my life, I will not tell you the opposite," he told L'Equipe in early 2023 on the sidelines of his trial for violence. "My image has been sullied and I am made to look like a thug and a criminal"
