The 23-year-old is now 17 seconds ahead of his nearest rival, Briton Tobias Leknessund, who won the first stage on Saturday. Leknessesund won the second stage on Sunday to take the lead in the overall standings. The final stage on Monday will be the first time the race has been cut short by two days since the start of the race on September 14.
