At least 12 people were killed Saturday night and an unknown number injured during a soccer match in El Salvador in Central America. The match between Allianz FC and B Club Deportivo was scheduled to take place in the quarterfinals of the cup at the Coquetlan Stadium in the capital, San Salvador.

The game was canceled, after the terrible disaster became clear: due to the pressure and the large number of people, it was decided to close the gates to prevent people from entering. Fans began pushing in an attempt to enter the field, and as a result of the pressure, at least12 people were crushed to death.
