Horror fall at the Bobsleigh World Cup: Pusher is caught by a sled and has to undergo emergency surgery. Pusher Sandro Michel was thrown out of the four-man bobsleigh driven by pilot Michael Vogt and remained dazed in the ice track.

The 27-year-old was seriously injured and was immediately flown by helicopter to the hospital in Dresden. Pilot Vogt suffered a severe concussion and several bruises. The other pushers, Dominik Hufschmid and Andreas Haas, escaped with minor injuries.
