The second-ranked player was eliminated from the Rome tournament earlier than expected after losing 6-3, 7-6 to Hungary's Fabian Marojan. The tournament is billed as the final preparation for Roland Garros, which starts in a week in France.Apart from Alcaraz, the favourites to win the tournament are Novak Djokovic, Daniil Medvedev, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Casper Ruud.
