Teddy Riner wins an eighth Paris Grand Slam less than six months before the Olympics. The double Olympic champion made his return to individual competition, nine months after his eleventh coronation as world champion.

Riner beat the South Korean Kim Min-jong in the final to achieve a record eighth success at the Paris Grand slam. He overtakes compatriots Lucie Décosse and Clarisse Agbégnénou, who won gold on Saturday in -63 kg. The 34-year-old Frenchman is aiming for an unprecedented third Olympic heavyweight title this summer.
