Dutch international Quincy Promes sentenced to six years in prison for cocaine trafficking. Spartak Moscow player smuggled more than a ton of cocaine to the Netherlands.
Fearing arrest by Dutch police, the 32-year-old was not present at the Amsterdam District Court to hear the sentence. Promes has also already been sentenced to 18 months in prison in connection with another case, for stabbing a cousin over a stolen necklace. The striker has 50 caps for the Oranje, but has so far not been extradited by Russia.
