The final of the Champions Cup between La Rochelle and Leinster in Dublin was won by the Maritimes (26-27) At half-time of the match, an altercation would have broken out between the coach of the Rochelais, Ronan O'Gara, and several Leinsters players including the opener Jonathan Sexton. The coach reportedly wanted to speak with match referee Jaco Peyper, which would not have been to Sexton's liking.
The EPCR assured that it "will investigate this matter as soon as possible", adding that it did not want to comment further.
