Bayern Munich won the German championship with a 1:2 away win over FC Cologne. FC Cologne almost spoiled the party when they equalised with a successful penalty in the 81st minute, but a winning goal from Jamal Musiala in the 89th minute left the plate in Bavaria.
Captain Thomas Müller celebrated a 12th career championship, more than any other player in Bundesliga history. The shock of the dismissal of CEO Oliver Kahn and sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic may have overshadowed the celebrations, but Bayern still have reason to rejoice.
