NFL mourns dead ex-professional (35) – his grandmother probably found the body. Former cornerback was only 35 years old.
The cause of death was initially unknown. Davis had played in the American professional league NFL for ten years and was part of the Pro Bowl twice. In total, he played 121 games in the NFL and had 22 interceptions and one touchdown. The Miami Dolphins drafted the former cornerback in 2009 and said they were shocked by Davis' death. His former team, the Buffalo Bills, also reacted with dismay to the death.
