The route of the Paris marathon has been slightly modified to avoid any risk for the runners. Some 54,000 participants are expected this Sunday for one of the most popular road races in France, 2,000 more than last year's record.
Last month, the Paris half-marathon broke its own participation record with more than 47,000 runners. The marathon will take place at the Parc Rives de Seine on April 7, 2024, with a total of 42.195 km.
