Englishman Anthony Taylor will referee the quarter-final first leg against FC Barcelona. The 45-year-old referee notably officiated during the meeting between Atalanta and PSG, in August 2020.
In 2021, he refereed the round of 16 second leg at the Parc des Princes, during which the two teams ended in a draw (1-1). The first leg was more successful for Paris Saint-Germain, winning 4-1 after a hat-trick from Kylian Mbappé.
