The Old Lady lost the retrial at the Rome court following the same financial offenses. The Bianconeri dropped from second place to seventh, with only 59 points, five less than Milan.

This comes just a month after 15 points were returned following an appeal filed on behalf of the club. The club was also punished for scams in the player transfer market and false registration, but after appealing the decision, the Old Lady was refunded all 15 points by the evening. The Old Lady is unlikely to play in the Champions League next season.
