Athletic Bilbao are preparing for the Spanish Cup final against Real Madrid. The La Liga champions have won the competition three times in the last four years.

Athletic are bidding to win their first-ever major trophy after winning the Copa del Rey in 2011. Athletic have never won the La Liga title, but have won two La Liga titles and one Copa de La Liga in the past five years. The club have also reached the Champions League final in 2010 and 2012.
