[HIGHLIGHTS] Sailing: Tom Laperche gives up on the Arkea Ultim Challenge

The 26-year-old had great ambitions for the Arkea Ultim Challenge. His trimaran SVR Lazartigue suffered damage on the night of Thursday January 18.

The damage prevented him from continuing the race around the world alone. He was forced to stop in Cape Town, South Africa, on Monday. The race was due to start on January 25, but was called off on Monday morning. The 26- year-old will now have to find a replacement trimaran to complete the race.
