It was the first medal by a Norwegian woman in the Olympic alpine races since Laila Schou Nilsen in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in 1936. There are also two bronze medals at world championships: in the combination in 2019 and in the giantslalom in 2023. She achieved her four World Cup victories in the downhill, in the super-G (two) and inThe giant sl alom, with a total of 14 podium places.
