Luis Rubiales was arrested by the Guardia Civil when he got off the plane at Madrid airport, coming from the Dominican Republic. The police now have 72 hours to question him.
Prosecutors have already requested a two and a half year prison sentence against him. He also faces trial for sexual assault after kissing player Jenni Hermoso on the mouth after last summer's World Cup final. He denies any wrongdoing and says it is a lie to say that he received a bribe with apartments and a baseball team.
