Marie-Bénédicte Hurel, with whom she is currently in divorce proceedings, was found guilty and sentenced to four months in prison. She must also pay one euro in damages. The defendant's lawyers announced that they would appeal the judgment. The prosecution had requested a ten-month suspended prison sentence. The trial took place behind closed doors in January.
