Danielle Collins beat Elena Rybakina 7-5, 6-3 in the final of the Miami Open. The 30-year-old American will retire at the end of the year for health reasons.

She suffered from rheumatoid arthritis (inflammatory disease that affects the joints) and from endometriosis, a chronic disease which usually results in severe pain during periods and/or fertility problems. Collins will jump from 53rd to 22nd in the world on Monday in the WTA rankings.
