Claudio Nicolescu won championships and cups with Dinamo Bucharest. He was top scorer of the Romanian league and even made appearances for the national team.
He married TV presenter Diana Montiano in June 2007 in what was then defined as "Romania's wedding of the year" The glamorous couple broke up after seven years, and since then Diana has been single and happy, raising the joint child alone. "I don't like to cry and beg for mercy. I don't understand people who complain," she says.
