The Prosecutor's Office of Valencia opens proceedings ex officio for an alleged hate crime for the insults received by the player in Mestalla. Real Madrid, as well as the AFE and the Movement Against Intolerance have demanded an investigation.

The Permanent Commission of the State Commission against Violence, Racism, Xenophobia and Intolerance in Sport met on Monday at the Higher Sports Council to show its most "absolute rejection" of what happened the previous day in Valencia. There were no arrests on Sunday, but Valencia has already identified one of the fans who hurled racist insults at Vinicius; it is not ruled out that there may be some more.
