Cristiano Ronaldo was sent off for Al Nasser against Al Fayya in the Asian Champions League. The Portuguese star was jeered by Al Ain fans who chanted "Messi, Messi" at him.
Al Ain player Khaled Al Hashemi claimed that a nervous Ronaldo approached him and told him that they would win in the second leg and advance. Former France international Frank LaBeouf attacked back: "It annoys me to hear these things. Why did he say that about the French league and not the Portuguese league?"
